National Expert in Higher Education Law joins Manley Burke, LPA.
Dr. Jeffrey Sun, one of the nation’s foremost scholars in the field of higher education law, has joined Manley Burke, LPA in the role of Counsel. Over more than two decades, Dr. Sun has distinguished himself as scholar, administrator, and teacher of higher education law. In fact, he is the author of one of the leading textbooks in the field. While he will continue with his current roles as a professor and administrator at the University of Louisville, he will also join Manley Burke, LPA to provide trusted counsel to the firm’s many education clients.
Dr. Sun holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University, a Master’s of Philosophy degree from Columbia University, a Juris Doctorate degree from The Ohio State University, a Masters of Business Administration degree from Loyola Marymount University, and a Bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University. He has produced approximately 60 legal and academic publications (including 7 books), and was awarded the Association for the Study of Higher Education Distinguished Service Award. He is a Co-Editor of the Law & Education publication for IAP, faculty co-executive editor of the Journal of Law & Education, HHS appointed member for NIH’s National Advisory General Medical Sciences Council, and an academic advisory member of CMMC-AB. He previously served on the Board of Directors for the Association for the Study of Higher Education and the Education Law Association. He is also a licensed attorney in the state of Ohio.
